ดาวิดถามเขาว่า “ขอบอกฉันหน่อยว่า เหตุการณ์เป็นไปอย่างไรบ้าง” และเขาตอบว่า “ประชาชนหนีจากการรบไปแล้ว มีคนล้มและถึงความตายมากมาย ซาอูลและโยนาธานราชโอรสก็สิ้นพระชนม์ด้วย”
