તેઓએ શોક કર્યો, રડ્યા અને સાંજ સુધી શાઉલ તથા તેના દીકરા યોનાથાનને માટે, ઈશ્વરના લોકો માટે અને ઇઝરાયલનાં માણસોને માટે ઉપવાસ કર્યો. કેમ કે તેઓ તલવારથી હારી ગયા હતા એટલે માર્યા ગયા.
