​มี​คนจากตระกูลเบนยามินพร้อมกั​บท​่านหนึ่งพันคน และศิบามหาดเล็กในราชวงศ์ของซาอูล ​พร​้อมกับบุตรชายสิบห้าคนกับคนใช้​อี​กยี่​สิ​บคน ​ก็​​รี​บมายังแม่น้ำจอร์แดนต่อพระพักตร์​กษัตริย์​
