II SAMUELE 18:3

Ma il popolo rispose: Tu non uscirai; perciocchè, se pur noi fuggiamo, essi non ne terran conto; ed avvegnachè morisse la metà di noi, che siamo pur ora intorno a diecimila, non ne terrebbero conto; ora dunque meglio è che tu ci dia soccorso dalla città.

But the people answered, Thou shalt not go forth: for if we flee away, they will not care for us; neither if half of us die, will they care for us: but now thou art worth ten thousand of us: therefore now it is better that thou succour us out of the city.
