उन दिनों जो सम्मति अहीतोपेल देता था, वह ऐसी होती थी कि मानो कोई परमेश्वर का वचन पूछ लेता हो; अहीतोपेल चाहे दाऊद को चाहे अबशालोम को, जो-जो सम्मति देता वह ऐसी ही होती थी।
