Allora Davide disse a tutti i suoi servitori ch'erano con lui in Gerusalemme: Levatevi, fuggiamocene; perciocchè noi non potremo scampare d'innanzi ad Absalom; affrettatevi a camminare; chè talora egli di subito non ci raggiunga, e non trabocchi la ruina addosso a noi; e non percuota la città, mettendola a fil di spada.

And David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee; for we shall not else escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and smite the city with the edge of the sword.
