​แต่​โยนาดับบุตรชายชิเมอาห์เชษฐาของดาวิดกราบทูลว่า “ขออย่าให้​เจ้​านายของข้าพระองค์สำคัญผิดไปว่า เขาได้ประหารราชโอรสหนุ่มแน่นเหล่านั้นหมดแล้ว เพราะว่าอัมโนนสิ้นชีวิตแต่​ผู้เดียว​ เพราะตามบัญชาของอับซาโลมเรื่องนี้ท่านตั้งใจไว้​แต่​ครั้งที่อัมโนนข่มขืนทามาร์น้องหญิงของท่านแล้ว
