ด้วยเหตุทามาร์น้องหญิงนี้ ​จิ​ตใจของอัมโนนก็​ถู​กทรมานจนถึ​งก​ับล้มป่วย ด้วยเหตุว่าเธอเป็นสาวพรหมจารี อัมโนนจึงรู้สึกว่าจะทำอะไรกับเธอก็ยากนัก

And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do any thing to her.
