2 Samuel 10:2

Och David sa: ”Jag ska visa nåd (omsorgsfull kärlek – hebr. chesed) [hålla mitt förbund] till Nachash son Chanon på samma sätt som han visade nåd (hebr. chesed) [var lojal] mot mig.” Så David sände i sina tjänares händer (gåvor med sina tjänare) för att trösta honom efter hans far. Och Davids tjänare kom till Ammons söners land.

Then said David, I will shew kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father shewed kindness unto me. And David sent to comfort him by the hand of his servants for his father. And David’s servants came into the land of the children of Ammon.
