Lecz Syryjczycy uciekli przed Izraelem i spośród Syryjczyków Dawid zabił ludzi z siedmiuset rydwanów oraz czterdzieści tysięcy jeźdźców. Zranił też Szobaka, dowódcę ich wojska, który tam zmarł.
