En toen de Ammonieten bemerkten, dat de Arameën gevlucht waren, sloegen ook zij voor Abisjai op de vlucht en trokken zich terug in de stad. Daarom staakte Joab de strijd tegen de Ammonieten, en keerde naar Jerusalem terug.

And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled, then fled they also before Abishai, and entered into the city. So Joab returned from the children of Ammon, and came to Jerusalem.
