Ma i Siri fuggirono d'innanzi a Israele; e Davide uccise de' Siri la gente di settecento carri, e quarantamila uomini a cavallo; percosse eziandio Sobac, capo del loro esercito; ed egli morì quivi.

And the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew the men of seven hundred chariots of the Syrians, and forty thousand horsemen, and smote Shobach the captain of their host, who died there.
