వీటిని బట్టే ఆయన మనకు అమూల్యమైన గొప్ప వాగ్దానాలు ఇచ్చాడు. ఈ వాగ్దానాల మూలంగా, లోకంలో ఉన్న దుర్మార్గపు కోరికల నాశనగుణం నుండి తప్పించుకుని మీరు తన స్వభావంలో పాలిభాగస్థులు కావాలన్నదే దేవుని ఉద్దేశం.

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
