அப்பொழுது ஆசகேல்: என் ஆண்டவனே, ஏன் அழுகிறீர் என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு அவன்: நீ இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்குச் செய்யும் தீங்கை நான் அறிந்திருக்கிறபடியால் அழுகிறேன்; நீ அவர்களுடைய கோட்டைகளை அக்கினிக்கு இரையாக்கி, அவர்களுடைய வாலிபர்களைப் பட்டயத்தால் கொன்று, அவர்களுடைய குழந்தைகளைத் தரையோடே மோதி, அவர்களுடைய கர்ப்பவதிகளின் வயிற்றைக் கிழித்துப்போடுவாய் என்றான்.

And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strong holds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash their children, and rip up their women with child.
