അങ്ങനെ ഹസായേൽ ദമ്മേശെക്കിലെ വിശേഷവസ്തുക്കളിൽനിന്നൊക്കെയും എടുത്തു നാല്പതു ഒട്ടകച്ചുമടുമായി അവനെ ചെന്നുകണ്ടു അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്നു: നിന്റെ മകൻ അരാം രാജാവായ ബെൻ-ഹദദ് എന്നെ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു: ഈ ദീനം മാറി എനിക്കു സൗഖ്യംവരുമോ എന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന്നു എലീശാ;

So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels’ burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Ben-hadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?
