కాబట్టి ఆ సైన్యం ఉదయాన్నే తెల్లవారక ముందే లేచి తమ గుడారాలనూ, గుర్రాలనూ, గాడిదలనూ వదిలి కాళ్ళకు బుద్ధి చెప్పారు. శిబిరాన్ని ఉన్నది ఉన్నట్టుగా వదిలి ప్రాణాలు దక్కించుకోడానికి పరుగులు తీశారు.
