2. രാജാക്കന്മാർ 7:4

പട്ടണത്തിൽ ചെല്ലുക എന്നുവന്നാൽ പട്ടണത്തിൽ ക്ഷാമമായിക്കകൊണ്ടു നാം അവിടെവെച്ചു മരിക്കും; ഇവിടെ പാർത്താലും മരിക്കും. അതുകൊണ്ടു വരിക നമുക്കു അരാമ്യപാളയത്തിൽ പോകാം; അവർ നമ്മെ ജീവനോടെ വെച്ചാൽ നാം ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും; അവർ നമ്മെ കൊന്നാൽ നാം മരിക്കയേയുള്ളു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.
