ఒకసారి ఎలీషా షూనేము అనే పట్టణానికి వెళ్ళాడు. అక్కడ ఒక స్త్రీ అతణ్ణి భోజనానికి రమ్మని ప్రాధేయపడిన ఒప్పించింది. కాబట్టి ఎలీషా ఆ దారి గుండా వెళ్ళినప్పుడల్లా ఆమె దగ్గర భోజనం చేస్తూ ఉండేవాడు. ఆమె ఆ పట్టణంలో చాలా ప్రముఖురాలు.

¶ And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.
