Och de slog ner städerna, och på varje gott stycke av land [odlingsbar mark] kastade varje man sin sten och fyllde det [fältet], och de stängde igen (täckte, gömde) alla vattenkällor och fällde alla goda träd till dess bara Qir-Cheres [kan syfta på Kir-Moab, en större stad i södra Moab] var kvar med sin stenmur och slungkastarna omringade den och bröt ner den.

And they beat down the cities, and on every good piece of land cast every man his stone, and filled it; and they stopped all the wells of water, and felled all the good trees: only in Kir-haraseth left they the stones thereof; howbeit the slingers went about it, and smote it.
