Yoram mengirim pesan kepada Yosafat, raja Yehuda. Isinya, “Raja Moab memberontak terhadap saya. Maukah engkau membantu saya melawan Moab?” Yosafat membalas, “Tentu saja! Kita bersekutu. Saya akan mengirimkan prajurit dan tentara berkuda untuk bergabung dengan pasukanmu.”
