எலியா எலிசாவை நோக்கி: நீ இங்கே இரு; யெகோவா என்னைப் பெத்தேல்வரை போக அனுப்புகிறார் என்றான். அதற்கு எலிசா: நான் உம்மை விடுவதில்லை என்று யெகோவாவின் ஜீவனையும் உம்முடைய ஜீவனையும் கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றான்; அப்படியே இருவரும் பெத்தேலுக்குப் போனார்கள்.

And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Beth-el. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Beth-el.
