II RE 2:4

Ed Elia gli disse: Eliseo, deh! rimani qui; perciocchè il Signore mi manda in Gerico. Ma egli disse: Come il Signore vive, e come l'anima tua vive, io non ti lascerò. Così se ne vennero in Gerico.

And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho.
