Sesudah itu Elia berkata kepada Elisa, “Tinggallah di sini, karena TUHAN mengutus saya ke Yeriko.” Tetapi jawab Elisa, “Saya bersumpah demi TUHAN yang hidup dan demi nyawamu bahwa saya tidak akan meninggalkan engkau.” Maka mereka pergi bersama-sama ke Yeriko.

And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho.
