Dalam perjalanan itu Elia berkata kepada Elisa, “Tinggallah di sini, karena TUHAN mengutus saya ke Betel.” Tetapi jawab Elisa, “Saya bersumpah demi TUHAN yang hidup dan demi nyawamu bahwa saya tidak akan meninggalkan engkau.” Maka mereka pun pergi ke Betel bersama-sama.

And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Beth-el. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Beth-el.
