అయితే కల్దీయులు పట్టణం చుట్టూ ఉన్నారు. రాజు మైదానానికి వెళ్ళే మార్గంలో వెళ్లిపోయాడు. కల్దీయుల సైన్యం రాజును తరిమి, అతని సైన్యం అతనికి దూరంగా చెదరిపోయిన కారణంగా యెరికో మైదానంలో అతన్ని పట్టుకున్నారు.

And the army of the Chaldees pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho: and all his army were scattered from him.
