Hij riep al de priesters uit de steden van Juda terug, en verontreinigde van Géba tot Beër-Sjéba de offerhoogten, waar deze priesters geofferd hadden. Ook sloopte hij de tempel der bokken bij de ingang van de poort van den stadsoverste Jehosjóea, en wel links van de stadspoort, wanneer men naar binnen komt.
