II RE 22:19

perciocchè il tuo cuore si è ammollito, e tu ti sei umiliato per timor del Signore, quando tu hai inteso ciò che io ho pronunziato contro a questo luogo, e contro a' suoi abitatori, che sarebbero in desolazione ed in maledizione, ed hai stracciati i tuoi vestimenti, ed hai pianto nel mio cospetto; io altresì ti ho esaudito, dice il Signore.

Because thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before the LORD, when thou heardest what I spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith the LORD.
