తన తండ్రి హిజ్కియా పడగొట్టిన ఉన్నత స్థలాలు అతడు మళ్ళీ కట్టించి, బయలు దేవుడుకు బలిపీఠాలు కట్టించి ఇశ్రాయేలురాజు అహాబు చేసినట్టు దేవతాస్తంభాలు చేయించి, నక్షత్రాలకు మొక్కి, వాటిని పూజిస్తూ ఉన్నాడు.
