તે સમયે બાબિલના રાજા બાલઅદાનના દીકરા બરોદાખ-બાલાદાને સંદેશાવાહકો સાથે હિઝકિયા પર પત્રો તથા ભેટ મોકલ્યાં, કેમ કે તેણે સાંભળ્યું હતું કે, હિઝકિયા માંદો પડ્યો છે.
