எசேக்கியா பிரதிநிதிகளின் கையிலிருந்து கடிதத்தை வாங்கி வாசித்த பின்பு, அவன் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்திற்குப்போய், அதைக் யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக விரித்து,

¶ And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD.
