அப்பொழுது இல்க்கியாவின் மகன் எலியாக்கீமும், செப்னாவும், யோவாகும், ரப்சாக்கேயைப் பார்த்து: உமது அடியார்களோடு சீரியமொழியிலே பேசும், அந்த மொழி எங்களுக்குத் தெரியும்; மதிலிலிருக்கிற மக்களின் காதுகள் கேட்க எங்களோடே எபிரேய மொழியிலே பேசவேண்டாம் என்றார்கள்.

Then said Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, and Shebna, and Joah, unto Rab-shakeh, Speak, I pray thee, to thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and talk not with us in the Jews’ language in the ears of the people that are on the wall.
