இதோ, நெரிந்த நாணற்கோலாகிய அந்த எகிப்தை நம்புகிறாய்; அதின்மேல் ஒருவன் சாய்ந்தால், அது அவனுடைய உள்ளங்கையில் பட்டு ஊடுருவிப்போகும்; எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோன் தன்னை நம்புகிற யாவருக்கும் இப்படியே இருப்பான்.

Now, behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised reed, even upon Egypt, on which if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt unto all that trust on him.
