Akapaondoa mahali pa juu pa kuabudia miungu, akazivunja sanamu, akakatakata nguzo za Ashera. Akavunja vipande vipande ile nyoka ya shaba Mose aliyotengeneza, kwa kuwa hadi siku hizo wana wa Israeli walikuwa wanaifukizia uvumba (ilikuwa ikiitwa Nehushtani ).
