അവൻ പൂജാഗിരികളെ നീക്കി വിഗ്രഹസ്തംഭങ്ങളെ തകർത്തു അശേരാപ്രതിഷ്ഠയെ വെട്ടിമുറിച്ചു മോശെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ താമ്രസർപ്പത്തെയും ഉടെച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; ആ കാലംവരെ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ അതിന്നു ധൂപം കാട്ടിവന്നു; അതിന്നു നെഹുഷ്ഠാൻ എന്നു പേരായിരുന്നു.
