ఆ ప్రజలు ఆ విధంగా యెహోవా పట్ల భయ భక్తులు కలిగి ఉంటూనే, తమ చెక్కిన విగ్రహాలను కూడా పూజిస్తూ వచ్చారు. వారి పిల్లలూ, పిల్లల పిల్లలూ అలానే చేశారు. వారి పూర్వికులు చేసినట్టే ఈ రోజు వరకూ చేస్తూనే ఉన్నారు.

So these nations feared the LORD, and served their graven images, both their children, and their children’s children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day.
