Och Herren (Jahveh) försköt hela Israels säd och hemsökte (plågade) dem och gav dem i fördärvarnas hand till dess han hade kastat bort dem från sitt ansikte.

And the LORD rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight.
