In het negende jaar van Hosea nam de koning van Assur Samaria in; hij voerde Israël in ballingschap naar Assur en deed hen wonen in Chalach, aan de Chabor, de rivier van Gozan en in de steden der Meden.

¶ In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.
