2 Koningen 17:7

Want het was geschied, dat de kinderen Israels gezondigd hadden tegen den HEERE, hun God, Die hen uit Egypteland opgebracht had, van onder de hand van Farao, den koning van Egypte; en hadden andere goden gevreesd;

For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods,
