II RE 17:29

Nondimeno ciascuna di quelle genti si faceva i suoi dii, e li misero nelle case degli alti luoghi, che i Samaritani aveano fatti; ciascuna nazione li mise nelle sue città, dove abitava.

Howbeit every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places which the Samaritans had made, every nation in their cities wherein they dwelt.
