II RE 17:21

Perciocchè, dopo ch'egli ebbe stracciato Israele d'addosso alla casa di Davide, e ch'essi ebbero costituito re Geroboamo, figliuolo di Nebat, Geroboamo sviò Israele di dietro al Signore, e gli fece commettere un gran peccato.

For he rent Israel from the house of David; and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king: and Jeroboam drave Israel from following the LORD, and made them sin a great sin.
