II RE 17:15

ed aveano sprezzati i suoi statuti, e il suo patto, il quale egli avea contratto coi lor padri; e le protestazioni ch'egli avea fatte a loro stessi; ed erano camminati dietro alla vanità, onde si erano invaniti; e dietro alle genti ch'erano d'intorno a loro, delle quali il Signore avea lor comandato, che non facessero come esse;

And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them.
