वे यहोवा का भय मानते तो थे, परन्तु उन जातियों की रीति पर, जिनके बीच से वे निकाले गए थे, अपने-अपने देवताओं की भी उपासना करते रहे।

They feared the LORD, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence.
