ആഹാസ് അശ്ശൂർരാജാവായ തിഗ്ലത്ത്-പിലേസരിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ദൂതന്മാരെ അയച്ചു: ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ദാസനും നിന്റെ പുത്രനും ആകുന്നു; നീ വന്നു എന്നോടു എതിർത്തിരിക്കുന്ന അരാംരാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമെന്നു പറയിച്ചു.

So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, saying, I am thy servant and thy son: come up, and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, which rise up against me.
