ఇతడు ఇశ్రాయేలు వారు పాపం చెయ్యడానికి కారకుడైన నెబాతు కొడుకు యరొబాము చేసిన పాపాలు విడిచిపెట్టకుండా వాటినే అనుసరిస్తూ, తన పూర్వికులు చేసినట్టే తానూ యెహోవా దృష్టిలో చెడుతనం జరిగించాడు.
