Want Menahem, de zoon van Gadi, toog op van Thirza, en kwam te Samaria, en sloeg Sallum, den zoon van Jabes, te Samaria, en doodde hem, en werd koning in zijn plaats.

For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.
