II RE 15:19

Allora Pul, re degli Assiri, venne contro al paese; e Menahem gli diede mille talenti d'argento, acciocchè gli porgesse aiuto, per fermare il regno nelle sue mani.

And Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.
