આશ્શૂરના રાજા પૂલે દેશ પર આક્રમણ કર્યુ. મનાહેમે પોતાના હાથમાં ઇઝરાયલનું રાજ મજબૂત કરવા માટે પૂલને પોતાના પક્ષનો કરી લેવા તેને એક હજાર તાલંત ચાંદી આપી.
