Och Herren (Jahveh) har inte uttalat att han vill utrota Israel under himlarna (ordagrant: ”från under himlarna”) och (därför) räddade han dem genom Jerobeams hand, Joashs son. [Utplånandet på jorden beskrivs utifrån Guds perspektiv – jag ska utplåna från under himlarna.]
