కొందరు ఒక శవాన్ని పాతిపెడుతూ శత్రు సైన్యానికి భయపడి ఆ శవాన్ని ఎలీషా సమాధిలో పెట్టారు. సమాధిలో దింపిన ఆ మృతదేహం ఎలీషా ఎముకలు తగలగానే తిరిగి బతికి అతడు తన కాళ్ళపై నిలబడ్డాడు.

And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.
