તેમ છતાં યરોબામના કુટુંબનાં પાપો જે તેણે ઇઝરાયલ પાસે કરાવ્યાં હતાં તે તેમણે છોડયાં નહિ, પણ તેઓ તે પાપમાં જ ચાલ્યા. સમરુનમાં અશેરાની મૂર્તિ પણ હતી.
